One Thing at a Time

You may wonder why I have a picture of a travel  makeup case?  I had to share with you my  joy over doing just "one thing."   Sometimes I feel so overwhelmed with all the things I "think" I need to do.  So I just do nothing.   Well, that doesn't help at all.
Today I looked at the makeup bag I have lived out of for over 6 months.  There just never seemed to be a good time to clean out my make up and put the case back into the closet.  So many other things  pull for my time and attention.
Today, I made the decision to  clean out the case and return it to the closet.  Such accomplishment.  Such freedom.  I did it....finally:)  It took all of five minutes, yet I procrastinated for 6 months.
We don't have to do EVERYTHING today....but it does help to do just "one thing" that we have put off.

You're so right! Thank you for this! I needed it. Will try tomorrow to get that "one thing" accomplished.

I return the "I relate!". :) For me it was my car.

This week I'm working on organization. You are completely right. Once you get going you wonder why you put it off. Three weeks ago when I kicked off the personal growth series I started with my car, because I felt it was a small enough, contained area that I could feel a small sense of accomplishment. I felt so good! It is crazy the stuff you pull out of your car when you've got two little kids. Anyhow, loved this post. :)

P.S. I really hope one day in the future we get to meet. You wouldn't happen to live anywhere near the midwest would you?

Wow are you so true. I am looking at my to do list today and realizing all of the things that have magically made it to the bottom of the list because I keep putting it off. That is my weekend project, to actually do all of the things I have been putting off!!

Glad to hear from you too. :)

Sorry about the email issue. I hope you were at least able to save the draft. :)
